How much evidence is enough for action?

The scaling up of development programmes should be based on evidence from the most up-to-date systematic reviews and not from single studies, says 3ie’s Hugh Waddington and Beryl Leach in their blog on Evidence Matters. They use examples to illustrate how single studies, even rigorous studies like randomised controlled trials, can misrepresent the balance of research evidence and illuminate only one aspect of the policy issue. Read the blog and add your comments.
