How It Works

This guide will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to use and engage with the DME for Peace platform. It will cover two things: how to register and interact with the site, and how to navigate the site.

First, let’s review how to register and interact with the site.

How to Interact with the Site

Register and Create a Profile

The first step to engaging this online community of practice is to register and create a profile. You may do this by clicking the link in the upper right-hand corner that says “Sign Up/Log In”.

We also encourage you to share information about yourself with the community, such as your areas of expertise, and prior experience relevant to peacebuilding DM&E. This will allow other members to find you, and connect you to relevant events and opportunities in your area. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for more information on what information we collect and how it is used.

Contribute Content and Browse Resources

As a member you have the ability to contribute content to the platform. You might start by sharing your favorite DM&E resource, adding a DM&E-related opportunity or introducing yourself and your interests on the forums.

Network for Peacebuilding

If you are an experienced peacebuilding evaluator, we encourage you to sign up for the Network for Peacebuilding Evaluation (NPE). The NPE is a group of academics, analysts, and researchers working collaboratively with practitioners to address the challenges of peacebuilding evaluation, and developing innovative, and applicable methodologies for better evaluation of peacebuilding programs. By signing up to be a NPE member, you are subscribing to the NPE listserv and monthly newsletter.

Education for Peacebuilding M&E

Education for Peacebuilding M&E is a community of practice formed to provide monitoring and evaluation specialists, as well as education and peacebuilding practitioners with an interactive space for sharing best and emerging practices on how to monitor and evaluate peacebuilding programs. If you work at the intersection of education and peacebuilding, we encourage you to sign up here

Here you will find all the resources contained in the DME for Peace platform. These resources are organized by two taxonomies: Theme and Subject. Within Subject you will find specific issues relating to DM&E; for example, there is a Monitoring section which contains all resources tagged as relevant to “monitoring.” Within Themes you will find issues such as DM&E relating to Good Governance and its various sub-categories such as Rule of Law or Civil Society.

Here you will find the DME for Peace discussion forums, where you can interact with other members, pose questions, and share experiences and knowledge. We encourage you to introduce yourself to the community here, as well as share any challenges or insights you have in peacebuilding DM&E.
