Alert is looking for a Senior Programme Finance and Operations Officer (SPFOO) who will contribute to the effectiveness and impact of the programme by supporting the Programme Managers to ensure sound financial and administrative practices and management throughout the project cycle. The post holder ensures that the financial and administrative systems and procedures are of high quality and compliant with requirements of Alert, donors and law for the programmes and budgets in his/her specific portfolio. Additionally, she/he actively engages with others organisationally to ensure that Alert’s overall finance and administrative systems and procedures are of sound and compliant.

Educated to degree level (in a relevant subject), you will also have a minimum of 5 years’ experience  of grants and contract management from diverse donors (such as DFID, EU, USAID, Foundations) in an INGO environment including:

  • Creating/working with complex budgets, forecasts plans
  • Compiling financial reports from a variety of sources
